GAME DAY ATTENDENCE POLICY

Dear Parents/Players:
.
This season, once again our team WILL ENFORCE the game attendance policy. With that said, if a player does not arrive at least one one hour (60 minutes) prior to (generally the same time as weigh-in) the scheduled game time, the player MAY BE LIMITED to the minimum TEN (10) plays for the entire game as per Pop Warner's rules.
.
To avoid this issue, PLEASE BE AT THE FIELD NO LATER THAN ONE (1) HOUR PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED GAME TIME.
.
Thanks for your cooperation.

PLAYER PICK-UP AFTER PRACTICES

Dear Parents/Players:
.
As coaches, we are here to instruct your children every step of the way in team sports. We will take time out to help with any situation for our players - as long as it pertains to scholastics or football.
.
Unfortunately, some parents took advantage last season of our private time, specifically after practices, when we could be home with our families. This season, we have been reluctant not to run into this problem yet. Unfortunately, last season on a few occasion, we had to contact the parents for pick-up, and they did not call us back right-away. We also had to sit at the field for 20-25 minutes after practice waiting for parents to pick-up their children. This type of behavior WILL NOT be tolerated this season. As we are well into the 2014 season, we ask that you please be ON-TIME FOR PICK-UP AFTER PRACTICES ( PLEASE ARRIVE AT 8PM; YOUR KIDS WILL BE RELEASED AT 8:15PM ).
.
Thank you for helping us out on this matter.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - TEAM POLICY

Dear Parents/Players:
.
Going into our 2014 football season, the team attendance policy WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED AGAIN for ALL players. We know that some of you will have trips planned for 6+ months out, and most of you will make us aware of your circumstances. After all of the vacation and basketball schedules are completed, we expect ALL players to be on-time BEFORE (6:15PM) at the practice field. This is only fair to the rest of the team.
.
We, the volunteer coaches and team managers, had to alter our own family's schedules in order to make time to guide and help your children develop in organized sports. Some of us will even cancel our own vacation time to be there for your kids. In conclusion, we will be enforcing the team's attendance policy starting this coming week's practice. We have been advised again this season by the Board to make the parents aware before the issues arises with absent and tardy players. The following is our practice schedule and attendance policy, starting after Tuesday, August 19:
.
Regular-season practice schedule -
3 practices per week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; 6:15PM-8:15PM
(Please leave Friday open for make-up practices due to "bad" weather.)
.
- UNEXCUSED ABSENSES and TARDINESS are UNACCEPTABLE, and at the coach's discretion, in accordance to Pop Warner rules, can limit the player to (10) plays per game.
.
3 absent practices (1 week) = "benched" for the entire game (due to insurance purposes). This also in accordance with Pop Warner's rules.
.
Parents, please make every effort to be at practices- ON TIME! We, the coaches and team managers, will make every effort to be sure we are there to assist and instruct your children in organized, tackle football, EVERY PRACTICE AND ON-TIME!
.
We are parents as well and understand that some emergency circumstances (illnesses, funerals, etc.) might arise, but 100% effort needs to be made for practices. If you have any issues getting your children to practice sometimes, please inform the coaches or team managers or other parents about carpooling.
.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter!

TRASH ON THE FIELD

Dear Players:
.
As you exit the field after every practice, please pick-up ALL OF YOUR TRASH (plastic bottles, wrapper, etc.).  We are guest on this field, which is owned and managed by the City of Lake Worth. If we do not keep our field clean, we may not be invited back by the City to this location. At the end of every practice, we will ask ALL players to help out to pick-up all of the trash. If not, then we will spend the entire next practice running laps.
.
Thanks for your immediate attention to this matter.

PARENTS ON THE PRACTICE FIELD

Dear Parents:
.
Just a quick reminder for the parents that we do NOT allow (non-badged) parents to be on the field during practices. As like with school, this is a learning time for your children to get the fundamentals as well as advance skills to play the great game of tackle football. We would suspect that you would not normally be in the classroom with your child during school hours. We also expect the same respect for our practices on the field.
.
Parents, please stay outside the fence during practice hours. Coaches and Team Managers, with background checks, certifications and field badges, should be the ONLY personnel inside the fenced area.
.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.

HEALTH UPDATE - MANDATORY

Dear Parents/Players:
.
Just a quick note to the parents and players. Please make sure that your children do NOT eat any food for at least (1) hour prior to practices. In addition, please NO soft drinks, juice boxes (including Gatorade, etc.) or any other sugar/caffeinated fluids prior to practices.
.
ONLY WATER SHOULD BE GIVEN TO YOUR CHILDREN PRIOR TO, AND DURING PRACTICES.
.
Hypersensitivities are common these days among children. Evidence has shown that sugar (high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup solids, dextrose, etc.), yellow, red, blue-color dyes may increase the incidences of hypersensitivity and severe negative behavior. If your child has this issue and has consumed the above foods and/or beverage additives prior to practice and exhibits uncontrollable behavior, please be aware that, at the coach's discretion, disciplinary action will be taken. The Lake Worth Warriors' Board will also be notified if this occurs more than once, so that further actions may be taken.
.
On another note, the league and Pop Warner has made it MANDATORY FOR ALL PLAYERS TO WEAR MOUTH PIECES at practices and games. If a player comes to practice or a game without a mouthpiece, he will NOT be able to practice or play that day. NO exceptions!
.
Thank you for your cooperation.
